Empowering Families Since 1955
The MLK Community Center is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community in Northwest Louisiana. Our roots go deep into the belief that collective strength begins with empowering individuals and families. By providing accessible nutritional resources, educational pathways and recreational programs, we ensure that every person has the tools they need to thrive.
We are committed to closing societal gaps by providing programs that educate, empower and unite our community. Through intentional outreach, partnerships and ongoing support, we create opportunities that help individuals and families thrive while building a stronger, more connected community.
Community Initiatives
AT&T Connected Learning Center
We are excited about our partnership with AT&T to bring free computer access, digital literacy training and technology workshops for all ages to Northwest Louisiana.
Rent Our Facility
Our community center is available to rent for weddings, reunions, parties and much more. We offer two spaces including a kitchen and auditorium with tables and chairs included.
Veterans Support Committee
Supporting those who served our country through fellowship events, resource connections, family activities and community outreach efforts dedicated to our local veterans.
Family Programs
Programs designed to educate and inspire families through enrichment activities and educational workshops for the next generation.
Meals on Wheels
In partnership with the Caddo Council on Aging, we provide nutritious lunches Monday-Friday at 11:30 am at our location to support the health and well-being of our community.
Through the Eyes of a Child
Youth programs that encourages creativity through photography, visual arts, theater and music. These events inspire our youth to showcase their talents.
